Classic Sesame Street: Sing After Me (Grover/Madeline Kahn)
June 3, 2010 by admin
From Episode 1839: Sesame Street has redone this song (with various performers) at least half a dozen times, but this is the original that inspired the others. Leave it to a comedian like Madeline to tease Grover with those unsingable notes near the end… NOTE: Muppet Wiki gives the publication date for this song as 1977, but doesn’t list an airdate earlier than the episode I found it in. If anyone remembers seeing it in an older show, please drop me a note!

Sesame Street – Everybody Sleeps

Here is the original Joe Raposo song “Everybody sleeps”. Another great classic that goes way back in my memory. It was also neat the way he used the same tune in both this song and “Everybody eats”. I’m not sure which one was made first. Was that John Lennon who fell off the chair? LOL! This probably came out in 1969 or 1970, which is just how Lennon looked then (like on “Abbey Road”).
