On Sunday, February 27, 2011, the Bensalem Township Police Department responded to the Nottingham section of the Township for the report of a missing elderly man. Family members reported that Edwin Kakareka was out for a walk and never returned home. He was last observed walking along Old Street Rd by the Inn of the Dove at 12:30 pm.

Edwin Kakareka is described as a 79 year old white male, 5’10”, 150 lbs, with brown eyes and white hair. He was last seen wearing brown corduroy pants, a green sweater and green windbreaker, black sneakers, and a dark blue or black baseball hat. Extensive search efforts are being conducted in the area Edwin was last observed, but he may be heading to the area of Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. Edwin suffers from dementia and has been placed into NCIC as a missing endangered person.

Anyone with information regarding Edwin is asked to call Detective Thomas Jackson from the Bensalem Township Police Department at 215.633.3719.

How hard is it to reach your dream life?

I am a 24 year old nursing student about to graduate.

I dream of moving out of rural NY and going to live in an expensive place like Bucks County, PA when I graduate as an RN in 3 months. I want to eat candy at nightclubs and rise in the social scene of the suburbs of Philadelphia. Others have told me that it’s a pipedream, that I’ll never make it.

Sometimes things just seem too good to be true. Can anyone weigh in?
